New Mexico Can Help Houston by Staying Aware
Whatever you can do to help Houston, right now, you must also remain aware of their plight in the days, weeks, and months ahead. It is all too easy to move past the event as a news story that is over once the immediate crisis has passed. This is especially true if you don’t know anyone in Houston or who is affected by the storm and the flooding. Yet, those who have been impacted by Tropical Storm Harvey are going to have a very long road ahead of them, and their needs will be just as great in the time that follows the immediate crisis.
So, don’t forget about Houston when the flooding stops and the people are safe. They are still going to need the help of the Red Cross and the country. New Mexico can help Houston by staying conscious of their plight and continuing to offer what we can to assist the recovery.
Let us know how you’re helping and any other ways that New Mexico can help Houston!
