Gates open at 4 PM\, with music beginning around 5:15.

The new music festival will take place during the weekend of Balloons Over Angel Fire\, the village’s annual hot air balloon celebration (June 15-17) to create a dazzling and extraordinary weekend of fun\, food\, and all kinds of amazing music – from Americana to Latin\, Pop to Zydeco! \nTickets for Festival Eclectica are only $40.00 (Children 12 and under $15.00; Kids 5 and under – free) and available online at https://festivaleclectica.brownpapertickets.com. More info at www.FestivalEclectica.com. \nThe festival will feature renowned Zydeco accordionist\, singer/songwriter and 2018 Grammy-nominee\, Dwayne Dopsie (son of the legendary Zydeco pioneer Rockin’ Dopsie\, Sr.) with his group the Zydeco Hellraisers. Dwayne is also a pioneer in his own right\, performing a unique\, high energy style of Zydeco\, inspired by tradition\, although defying existing stereotypes all while blazing a refreshingly distinct path for 21st-century Zydeco music. It’s no wonder that Louisiana Travel named him #29 of the top 100 reasons to go to Louisiana! \nSinger/songwriter\, Taos native son and all around cosmic cowboy Max Gomez also joins the bill on the heels of his critically acclaimed CD Me and Joe that Rolling Stone called “smooth and sparkly…promising a newfound eclecticism” and a whirlwind national tour that has taken him from Taos to Nashville\, LA to NYC\, Austin to Chicago\, and NOLA to Angel Fire! Max’s songs that have been compared to John Prine and Jackson Brown and the wise\, world-weariness of Kris Kristofferson. \nThe award-winning pan-Latin group Baracutanga\, made up of members from Bolivia\, Ecuador\, Peru\, and US\, will also be on hand with their one-of-a-kind arrangements of traditional South American rhythms in new and interesting ways!
